Laudato si' Foundation
Who We Are
The Laudato si' Foundation was born from the initiative of a group of faithful who, since 2020, have been promoting the dissemination of the principles of integral ecology affirmed in the Encyclical Laudato si' and completed in the subsequent apostolic exhortation Laudate Deum.
Its founders, initially focused on promoting academic formation and developing proposals to combat climate change, began also studying the causes of inequalities in the world and suggesting concrete actions to overcome them, believing that humanity is not "facing two separate crises, one environmental and the other social, but a single and complex socio-environmental crisis" (Laudato si', 139).
Our Mission
Inspired by the principles established by the Church's Social Doctrine and, in particular, by the magisterium of Pope Francis, we are committed to contributing to the rethinking and reconfiguration of international relations at different levels of the economic, financial, and institutional architecture: energy transition, tax architecture, foreign debt, international trade, distribution of technological progress, international justice, multilateral institutions, among others, in order to build a world that offers land, home, and work for all, which is the true path to peace.
Our Goals for the Jubilee and Beyond
Our 2025 work agenda, which begins together with the Jubilee, foresees a series of actions for the next five years on the following thematic areas: climate change, inequality, fraternity, democratic strengthening, human justice and social effects of the media.
